Mike MacIntyre brings in 6 San Jose State assistants for Colorado football staff

Mike MacIntyre's staff at Colorado will include at least six of his former assistants at San Jose State.

US PRESSWIRE

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Mike MacIntyre was expected to bring over a few of his old staff members after he was plucked away from San Jose State by the Buffs, and it has been confirmed that at least six of his old staff will be coming with him to Boulder.

The two expected hires were Brian Lindgren as the offensive coordinator and Kent Baer as the defensive coordinator, re-taking the positions that they held under MacIntyre with the Spartans. Klayton Adams, Gary Bernardi, Charles Clark and Jim Jeffcoat have also been brought in from San Jose State to Colorado, though the roles that the four coaches will fill is still undetermined.

With the moves, long-time CU linebackers coach Brian Cabral has confirmed that he will be retiring from the school after being involved with the program for 23 years. His position could be taken over by Baer, who acted as the linebackers coach in addition to the defensive coordinator with the Spartans.

The staff in Boulder is still not completely built, so there's a chance that there will be still more movement from MacIntyre's old staff to his new staff before next season.
