Colorado vs. UCLA final score: Buffaloes routed 42-14

After getting off to a slow start, the UCLA Bruins took care of business on the road at Folsom Stadium, beating the Colorado Buffaloes by the score of 42-14 on Saturday.

The Bruins offense began the game with a slow start, but was able to extend their lead through every quarter of play. Meanwhile, UCLA's defense remained stout throughout the game as they held the Buffaloes to just 14 points, via passing touchdowns.

UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley was the star of the game for the Bruins. The freshman threw for over 300 yards, completed 24 of 37 passes and found the end zone four times on the day -- two on the ground and two through the air.

Hundley was supported by senior running back Johnathan Franklin, who ran for 111 yards despite receiving just 11 carries in the game.

As aforementioned, the Buffaloes offense struggled on Saturday and the running game was virtually non-existent. As a unit, Colorado combined for just 35 yards on 29 carries.

Box Score Hero: Bruins quarterback Brett Hundley completed 24 of his 37 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns.

Rankings Ramifications: The Bruins fell out of favor after losing at home against Oregon State, but this road victory will help them stay on track to get back into the rankings.

But Did They Cover? The Bruins were a 21-point favorite and were able to cover the spread.

Next Week's Schedule: UCLA will remain on the road and take on the California Golden Bears on Oct. 6 while Colorado will get the week off before taking on the Arizona State Sun Devils at home on Oct. 11.
