Colorado vs. Arizona final: Buffs lose 56-31

The Colorado Buffaloes led 10-7 after the first quarter against the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday. They were outscored 49-21 the rest of the way as the Wildcats defeated the Buffaloes, 56-31, to continue the Buffaloes forgettable season.

The Buffaloes were able to do some things on offense. They put up 213 yards passing and 224 yards rushing with four touchdowns. Christian Powell had a monster game with 137 yards and two touchdowns.

But the Buffaloes' defense once again struggled, particularly against the run, and just couldn't stop the Wildcats. Ka'Deem Carey rushed for an astounding 366 yards on 25 carries. He scored five touchdowns and averaged 14.6 yards per carry. The Wildcats totaled 438 yards rushing as a team with six rushing touchdowns. Quarterback B.J. Denker added two passing touchdowns.

The Buffaloes just couldn't stop the Wildcats and it dampened their early excitement after building the early lead.

The Buffaloes had the ball for more than 41 minutes but couldn't prevent the Wildcats from putting up their numbers in just over 18 minutes of possessing the ball.

The Buffaloes dropped to 1-9 overall, 1-6 in the Pac-12 and the Wildcats improved to 6-4, 3-4 in the Pac-12.

Box Score Hero: Ka'Deem Carey had the game of his life with 366 yards and five touchdowns on 25 carries.
