The beleaguered Colorado Buffaloes will have to do their utmost to avoid another embarrassing loss when they host the No. 14 Stanford Cardinal on Saturday.
Coach Jon Embree's Buffs (1-7) rank dead last in the FBS standings in scoring defense, having allowed 46 points per game this season. Last week's 70-14 demolition at the hands of the Oregon Ducks only sank Colorado further, and their lone win, over the Washington State Cougars, came by just one point. The Cardinal (6-2) represent a strong foe, and the Buffaloes will be hard-pressed to gain their second Pac-12 win this week.
The Colorado State Rams (2-6) haven't had it much easier, with last week's 42-27 victory over Hawaii snapping a six-game skid. They've got a chance to burnish their record this week with fellow Mountain West doormat Wyoming (1-7) as their opponent. The Cowboys are winless in MWC play.
Here's a look at the Pac-12 schedule, along with Colorado State's matchup.
