Colorado vs. Arizona State: Buffs seek bounceback after Arizona loss

The Buffaloes, still reeling from a controversial loss to the Wildcats, play their second consecutive game in Arizona on Sunday.

After suffering a heartbreaking overtime loss to Arizona on Thursday night, the Colorado Buffaloes return to action Sunday against Arizona State. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. MT at ASU's Wells Fargo Arena, with television coverage on the Pac-12 Network.

Colorado (10-3, 0-1) appeared to have handed Arizona its first loss of the season Thursday, but had a Sabatino Chen game-winning shot nullified by a referee replay. This was despite the fact that the slow-motion replay showed that the shot had, in fact, left Chen's hand before time expired. The game went to overtime, which the undefeated Wildcats dominated. The loss dropped the Buffaloes to 1-3 on the road this season.

Arizona State (12-2, 1-0) opened their Pac-12 season with a 55-54 overtime win against Utah. The Sun Devils are led by freshman guard Jahii Carson, who is averaging 17.5 points and 5.8 assists per game. Senior forward Carrick Felix is contributing 14.8 points per game and leads the team in rebounding, averaging 7.9 boards. Arizona State is one of the nation's best shot-blocking teams, rejecting 18 percent of opponent's shot attempts. Seven-foot junior center Jordan Bachynski is responsible for more than half of the Sun Devils' 8.0 blocked shots per game.
