Colorado State vs. Colorado final score: Buffaloes win, 70-61

Colorado improved to 7-1 with a 70-61 win against Colorado State on Wednesday.

The Colorado Buffaloes jumped out early and held on for a 70-61 win against Colorado State on Wednesday.

The Buffaloes scored the first nine points of the game and led, 15-2, with 13 minutes to play in the first half. Colorado led by as many as 23 points during the first half and took a 42-22 lead into halftime. Colorado State opened the second half strong and cut the Buffalo lead to 13 points in less than three minutes.

Colorado built its lead back up, but once again the Rams made a run. A 6-0 run made it a 54-51 game, but that was as close as Colorado State would get. A 7-0 run by Colorado put the Buffaloes back up double digits and the Rams were unable to threaten again.

Spencer Dinwiddie led the way for Colorado, scoring 29 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Dinwiddie made 5-of-7 three-point attempts. Andre Roberson finished with a double-double for Colorado, scoring 15 points to go along with 14 rebounds. Dorian Green scored 18 points for Colorado State while Colton Iverson finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
