Josh Scott scored 21 points to lead the Colorado Buffaloes to a 80-52 victory over the Hartford Hawks on Saturday at Coors Events Center in Boulder, Colo.
Askia Booker added 19 points for the Buffaloes, who raced out to leads of 18-3 and 31-9 in the first half to put the Hawks away early. Scott, Booker and Andre Roberson, who finished with 14 points, combined to shoot 23-of-33 from the floor. As a team, the Buffaloes hit 49.2 percent of their shots from the field while making 75 percent of their free throws.
Evan Cooper led Hartford with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting. He was the Hawks' only double-digit scorer. Meanwhile, four Buffaloes players finished with double figures in scoring.
Colorado (10-2) will now enter conference play, taking on the No. 3 Arizona Wildcats in Tucson on Thursday, Jan. 3. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. MT, and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
