Following an impressive win over No. 6-ranked Louisville on Friday, Colorado's women's basketball team officially cracked The Associated Press' Top 25 rankings for the first time in nearly five years.
The Buffaloes remain unbeaten on the young season at 9-0, and picked up a huge 22-point, seven-rebound performance from point guard Chucky Jeffrey to help knock off the heavily-favored Cardinals over the weekend. One of four Pac-12 schools in this week's rankings, the No. 25 overall Buffaloes have not allowed a single opponent to score more than 66 points this season through nine games.
With the beginning of conference play looming large, the Buffaloes will have two final opportunities to close out their non-conference schedule without a blemish. After games with both Utah Valley and New Mexico over the next two weeks, Colorado will then be forced to square off against No. 1 overall Stanford and No. 8 California over a three-day span from Jan. 4-6.
