The Colorado Buffaloes go for their first road win of the season on Wednesday night as they make the trip to Northern California for a game against Fresno State. At 7-2, the Buffs have dropped their only two true road games this season, losing to both Wyoming and Kansas. Those two losses have come in their past three games, bringing the enthusiasm of a 6-0 start down a bit as the calendar flipped to December.
The weekend loss to Kansas was particularly ugly, as the Jayhawks overwhelmed CU on their way to a 90-54 win. Fresno State is certainly not the caliber of Kansas, but a road win for Tad Boyle's club would be nice boost as they continue through their non-conference slate.
The Bulldogs have no real marquee wins through the first month of the season, but they did play an undermanned Texas team to the wire in a two-point loss. The Buffaloes defense should be able to rebound from the ugly day at the Phog, as Fresno has one of the worst offenses in the country. They average just over 62 points per game, and struggle to matchup in the frontcourt.
Tip is scheduled for 8 p.m. MT.
