The No. 19 Colorado Buffaloes aim to build on a five-game winning streak when they take on Texas Southern on Tuesday night, and could match the best start for the program in 30 years.
Colorado (5-0) has begun the season on a strong note following a third-round exit in the 2012 NCAA Tournament, highlighted by a close win over No. 16 Baylor in the Charleston Classic. The tournament victory propelled coach Tad Boyle and the Buffaloes into the top 25, as Colorado continues to build a strong basketball program in the Big 12.
Texas Southern (1-5) enters the contest shooting just 35 percent from the floor on the season, with the team's lone win coming against Louisiana Lafayette. The Tigers have not won against a ranked team in their past 16 attempts and previously lost to Colorado, 88-77, on Nov. 18, 2009.
Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. MT at the Coors Event Center in Boulder, Colo.
