Sacramento State Vs. Colorado: Yuri Wright Could Draw Start For Buffs

Colorado freshman cornerback Yuri Wright says he's ready to step in should injured sophomore starter Greg Henderson not be able to play Saturday when the Buffaloes host Sacramento State in their home opener at 1 p.m.

Henderson sprained his right ankle in the Buffaloes' 22-17 loss to Colorado State last weekend and is listed as questionable for the game.

"I'm ready right now," Wright told buffzone.com. "I was ready a week ago, so I'm ready right now to step in if I have to."

Colorado already starts another freshman at corner in Kenneth Crawley. Wright said losing out on the starting job has motivated him.

"It definitely showed me that I need to work a lot harder," he said. "He's a good player and I have to give him that. Hopefully I just keep working and get better and one day I'll be the starter."
