The Colorado Buffaloes will be trying to pick themselves up after dropping the Rocky Mountain Showdown against CSU, 22-17 over the weekend. They'll get some slightly easier competition on Saturday as they play their second game of the season, against the Sacramento State Hornets at Folsom Field in Boulder.
CU will be hoping that Jordan Webb doesn't get quite as roughed up against the Hornets as he did against the Rams -- Webb ended up being sacked five times and was playing through injury but still managed to put together a two touchdown game.
Currently 0-1 after dropping their first game by a score of 49-19 to New Mexico St., the Hornets aren't expected to make much of a dent in the Big Sky conference this season after a 4-7 2011 season. Needless to say, it will be a big disappointment to CU if they can't get by the Hornets and fall to 0-2 on the season.
The game will be at Folsom Field at 1 p.m. MT.
