Fresh off a stunning 35-34 victory over the Washington State Cougars last weekend, the Colorado Buffaloes will try for two straight on Saturday against the UCLA Bruins at Folsom Field.
The Buffaloes, who entered their game with the Cougars sporting an 0-3 record, fell down 28-14 before reeling off 21 fourth-quarter points to pull off a miracle comeback. Junior quarterback Jordan Webb exemplified his leadership role by scampering into the endzone in the waning seconds to give Colorado its first win of 2012, which is something the talented signal caller will need to do more of against a stout UCLA defense.
Although the Bruins were knocked from the ranks of the unbeaten by Oregon State, head coach Jim Mora's team remains on the rise after a series of frustrating campaigns in recent years. Senior tailback Johnathan Franklin has been one of the most explosive weapons west of the Mississippi thus far in 2012, averaging an impressive 7.5 yards per carry through four games. Franklin figures to be the most electric player on the field come Saturday.
