Colorado has struggled to contain Washington State quaterback Connor Halliday, who has completed 15 of 23 passes for 200 yards, and has thrown for three touchdowns already.
Colorado quarterback Jordan Webb, recently facing speculation that he could be benched in favor of backup Connor Wood, has completed 11 of 13 first-half attempts, good for 129 yards.
Colorado had been tied with Washington State at the end of the first quarter, but the Cougars put together two successful scoring drives early in the second quarter, with Halliday connecting for touchdowns with Marquess Wilson and then Isiah Myers.
