Dustin Thomas Commits To Colorado Basketball

After getting a commitment from 6'4 guard Jaron Hopkins earlier in the season, head coach Tad Boyle got another commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes basketball team in the form of Dustin Thomas, a 6'8 forward from Texarkana, Texas.

The commitment was originally reported by Buffzone:

Thomas, who was also being recruited by old Big 12 rival Oklahoma, visited CU last weekend and quickly decided that playing in the Pac-12 in Boulder was the right choice for him.

Thomas had solid statistics last season, putting together 20 points, 14 rebounds, five steals and six assists per game. The Buffaloes reportedly liked his distance shooting, considering he's a big man. He also had 48 percent three-point shooting numbers.
