Colorado was supposed to be 1-1 after losing to CSU in the Rocky Mountain Showdown, with Sacramento State coming to Boulder for their second game. Unfortunately for the Buffaloes, they dropped the game to their FCS competition by a score of 30-28, dealing a blow to their hopes of a solid start to 2012.

They'll need to put that loss behind them as they head to California to face the Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday. Fresno had a slightly better start to the year than the Buffaloes did, going 1-1 after winning against Weber State and then falling to No. 4 Oregon, 42-25.

Fresno did have a very strong second half against the Ducks, playing right along with them and losing mostly due to a terrible first half of play -- the Buffaloes may need to watch out if the Bulldogs defense, led by senior linebacker Tristan Okpalaugo, can get into a rhythm. Christian Powell and the Buffaloes offense will need to be at their best to overcome the 0-2 start to the season and get back on track before they start their conference games.
