Rocky Mountain Showdown 2012: Keys To The Game For Colorado

The Colorado Buffaloes, who stumbled to a 3-10 record in 2011, are starting anew in 2012 with a new quarterback, running back, and multiple wide receivers topping the depth chart at their respective positions. As such, it is imperative that they start fast and play loose, among other keys to the game, according to Jon Woods at Ralphie Report.

The Buffaloes will be facing a Colorado State Rams team with an equal or greater amount of unanswered questions on the roster. Thus, an advantage in talent should push the Buffs over the Rams. However, they'll also need to outperform CSU in a few key areas as outlined by RR:

  • Dominate the line of scrimmage.
  • Don't let the secondary be tested.
  • Play loose.
  • Start fast.
  • The 2012 Rocky Mountain Showdown is slated to kick off at 2 p.m. MT from Sports Authority Field at Mile HIgh.
