It's Year 2 of the Pac-12 and things won't be getting any easier for the Colorado Buffaloes. Jon Embree finished his first year as head coach with a 3-10 record, mostly with seniors. In 2012, Embree will need to fill in many of those spots with freshman or reserves this season, especially at quarterback and running back. Tyler Hansen and Rodney Stewart are gone, and wide receiver Paul Richardson is making his way back from a torn ACL.
It's could be worse before it gets any better. But that's why they play games -- to prove doubts wrong.
Over at SB Nation Studios, Dan Rubenstein previews the Pac-12 in 2012. There's nary a mention of the Buffaloes. Check it out below:
The Utah Utes are mentioned a few times: defensive tackle Star Lotulelei is a player to watch and USC-Utah is one of the top games this season.
College football is almost here. Are you ready?
