The Colorado Buffaloes football program has seen an exodus of the 2010 recruiting class assembled by former head coach Dan Hawkins, and on Saturday defensive end Cordary Allen became the eighth member of the 2010 class to leave the program. Allen switched positions multiple times before leaving Colorado, transitioning from running back to tight end to defensive end. The Alabama native may try to get closer to home, but no official reason has been given for his decision.
Head coach Jon Embree has been dealing with quite a bit of attrition, and he will have his work cut out for him in 2012. Aside from players leaving the school, Embree may also have to find a way to work around the loss of wide receiver Paul Richardson, who tore his ACL knee ligament during practice in April and will miss the 2012 season.
