We're still a few months away from the Colorado Buffaloes taking the field for fall practice, but quarterback Nick Hirschman is ready to get back on the field following his recovery from injury:
Final at full strength can't wait for camp #Recovered
— Nick Hirschman(@NickHirschman) May 21, 2012
Hirschman's offseason was riddled with one broken foot after another. That prevented him from competing with Connor Wood for the team's vacant starting quarterback position, but Wood was uneven in his performance during the spring game. While he might have a slight edge over Hirschman heading into camp, their battle might be the toughest one come August.
Throw in freshman Shane Dillon as a potential entrant when he arrives in camp, we can certainly see that Wood is not going to be handed the job as Tyler Hansen's successor.
