Colorado Buffaloes Might Face Purdue To Start Pac-12/Big Ten Football Partnership

It's quite far away, 2016, but the Colorado Buffaloes might already have their first opponent in the Pac-12/Big Ten football partnership when it starts four years down the road. The Journal and Courier reports that the Buffs would travel to Ross-Ade Stadium in 2016 to face Purdue and then host the Boilermakers at Folsom Field in 2017. However, this isn't a sure thing yet, according to Purdue athletic director Morgan Burke:

"We’re still going through the details, but we have a handshake agreement but it’s not in writing yet," Burke said. "We’re trying to work through it. People have schedules in place for years. It’s not as easy as getting people around the table and figuring out who’s going to play. We’ve held a couple of dates."

Need to start somewhere, I guess? Though I agree with the Ralphie Report: starting off with the Nebraska Cornhuskers would have been better. Rivalry and all that.
