The second round of the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament takes place on Thursday, and the No. 6 seed Colorado Buffaloes are set for a rematch with the No. 3 seed Oregon Ducks in the final game of the evening. Colorado knocked off the Utah Utes 53-41 in a sloppy affair salvaged thanks to 20 points and 11 rebounds from All-Pac-12 First Team forward Andre Roberson. Meanwhile, the Ducks have been patiently waiting with a first round bye.
They split their two regular season head-to-head matchups based on home court advantage. Back on Feb. 4, the Buffaloes edged the Ducks 72-71, while the Oregon got revenge at home on March 1 with a 90-81 win. Colorado head coach Tad Boyle is very much looking forward to the third head-to-head matchup against Oregon this season (via asapsports.com):
Hopefully we've got all of our missed shots and bad stuff out of our system tonight, because we're going to have to play better against the ducks tomorrow. There is no question that we will...
...Devoe Joseph, is playing very, very well right now, and we have to make sure we get to him and Singler and Sim. They went small on us at their place. So we may have to play a small lineup at times. But it's going to be a heck of a game. I like our match-ups, and we've got them at our place, they've got us at their place. So it should be a heck of a game. Looking forward to it.
