Pac-12 Tournament 2012, Colorado Vs. Utah Preview And First Round Schedule

The 2012 Pac-12 Tournament begins at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday with some interesting first round matchups, and the No. 6 seed Colorado Buffaloes are in the final game of the night. They take on the No. 11 seed Utah Utes for the right to meet the No. 3 Oregon Ducks in second round action. Utah suffered through a 6-24 season and a 3-15 record in conference play, while Colorado amassed a much more respectable 19-11 mark and 11-7 record in Pac-12 games.

Colorado clearly has the more talented roster in this matchup. Andre Roberson was named to both the All Pac-12 First team and the All-Defensive team, while Carlon Brown made the All Pac-12 Second team and Spencer Dinwiddie earned recognition on the All-Freshman team. The Buffaloes won both regular season games against the Utes, picking up a 40-point win on Dec. 31 and then taking a 55-48 road rematch on Feb. 18.
