2012 NCAA Tournament Results: Kansas, Kentucky Head To Championship Game

The 2012 NCAA Tournament will come to an end on Monday evening with a contest between the No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats and the No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks. Kentucky downed Louisville, 69-61, while Kansas fended off Ohio State, 64-62, on Saturday evening.

For Kentucky, Anthony Davis led the way with 18 points and 14 rebounds. He was 7-of-8 from the field and blocked five of Louisville's shots. His team shot 57.1 percent from the field while Louisville finished at 34.8 percent. Peyton Siva and Chane Behanan scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. Gorgui Deng was the only Cardinals players to reach double-digit rebounds (12), but they beat the Wildcats in that category, 37-32.

The Jayhawks overcame a nine-point halftime deficit, but it wasn't until the last 90 seconds or so that Kansas really felt the game in their hands. The Buckeyes were arguing with the referees on the final inbounds pass, essentially allowing Kansas to win the game uncontested. There was also a lane violation by Aaron Craft that hurt the Buckeyes.

Thomas Robinson finished the game with 19 points and eight rebounds. Jeff Withey finished the game with seven blocks. William Buford led Ohio State with 19 points while Jared Sullinger put in 13 points and 11 rebounds.
