The Colorado Buffaloes will have another quarterback joining the quarterback battle when the players return to the gridiron this summer. Former Kansas Jayhawks quarterback Jordan Webb has decided to transfer to Colorado after graduating this spring, reports CU At The Game.
Webb was 179-of-281 for 1,884 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2011 for the Jayhawks. However, he was unlikely to receive playing time for Kansas with the arrival of new head coach Charlie Weis and quarterbacks Jake Heaps and Dayne Crist, though the former won't be eligible until 2013. Webb is the second quarterback Kansas will see transfer this offseason. Former Valor Christian (CO) quarterback Brock Berglund is looking for a new school.
Connor Wood is currently the only real competitor for the starting quarterback position during spring practice because Nick Hirschman was out with a broken foot. Now it will be a three-way battle when things get underway in August.
