If one prefers to hand-write an NCAA bracket as the bracket is announced on CBS' Selection Sunday Show, then there's already a printable blank NCAA bracket available for one to do so. NCAA.com has it readily available here (PDF).

Maybe there's something special about writing out a bracket as the announcement is made instead of waiting for a typed one to appear online. There's a certain sense of accomplishment in doing it, because it's your own bracket. Sure, if you printed out one that has the opening games typed in you still write it on it, but it's not yours.

Or maybe this is the official bracket that you use to chart the actual outcome of the tournament while you use printed ones to make all those wild guesses. However you like to make a bracket, a blank one is already available.
