After a successful regular season, the Colorado St. Rams have received a No. 11 seed in the West region for the 2012 NCAA Tournament, as the selection committee announced on Sunday. One of four teams from the Mountain West to gain a bid, the Rams gained an at-large invitation after falling in the semifinals of the Mountain West Tournament to the San Diego St. Aztecs.

The South region will prove a tough test for the Rams should they make it deep into the tournament. In the second round of the tournament, the Rams will play the 11th-seeded Murray St. Racers, with the winner moving on to face either No. 3 Marquette or the No. 14 winner between BYU and Iona. in the third round.

If the Rams do indeed have a magical journey through the NCAA Tournament, they could eventually face the likes of Michigan State and Missouri, the region's top two seeds, in later rounds.
