The 2012 NCAA Tournament bracket and field has been announced, and the Colorado Buffaloes will receive a No. 11 seed in the South Region. The Buffaloes' first opponent will be the No. 6 UNLV Rebels, and they will play on Thursday, March 15, in Albuquerque, N.M.. If the Buffaloes win their first matchup, they will face the winner of the No. 3 Baylor Bears and No. 14 South Dakota St. Jackrabbits on Saturday.

Colorado earned the No. 11 in the 2012 NCAA Tournament after completing a surprising run in the Pac-12 conference tournament. Seeded sixth, the Buffaloes topped Utah in the first round, upset Oregon in the quarterfinals, defeated California in the semifinals and held off Arizona, 53-51, in the championship game Saturday.
