Senior G Nate Tomlinson only scored 6 points all game, but the final one counted the most as his last-second free throw led to a 72-71 comeback win for the Colorado Buffaloes (16-7, 8-3) over the Oregon Ducks (16-7, 7-4).
At halftime, the Buffaloes were looking for a comeback as the Ducks had slowly built a 37-33 lead. But the steady-shooting Buffs managed a 9-point run early in the second half, putting them up 50-46 with about 12 minutes remaining. From there, the game went back and forth as both teams jockeyed for the lead.
With only seconds remaining, Ducks forward E.J. Singler fouled Tomlinson, who missed his first free throw and nailed his second, securing the Colorado victory. The Buffs were led on offense by G Spencer Dinwiddie (16 pts) and G Askia Booker (17 pts), while F Andre Roberson watched the boards, collecting 11 rebounds.
