Colorado Football Recruiting: Yuri Wright Among First Buffs Recruits To Join On National Signing Day 2012

The faxes are starting to roll in at the football offices of the Colorado Buffaloes, and their first official commit of the day just happened to be their biggest. At 5:46 a.m. MT, New Jersey-based CB Yuri Wright— a consensus four-star recruit who chose the Buffaloes over Rutgers, among others— faxed his Letter of Intent to Boulder. Wright has been joined today by five other official commits:

  • Terrence Crowder, RB, Galena Park, Tex.
  • Sean Irwin, TE, Cypress, Tex.
  • Jeromy Irwin, OL, Cypress, Tex.
  • Austin Ray, TE, Columbia, Mo.
  • Peyton Williams, WR, Southlake, Tex.

The Irwin Brothers are rated as three-star recruits by Rivals, as is Ray, which gives the Buffaloes a solid foundation to build on at tight end. Williams is one of a trio of three-star receivers committed to the Buffaloes, and Crowder is rated as a two-star recruit.
