While many fans had pegged this as a rebuilding year for the Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball program, the opening games of Pac 12 play seem to indicate that the Buffs might be able to exceed the modest expectations. After two convincing victories over Utah and Washington, CU sits at the top of the conference standings as the only undefeated team.
The Buffs are coming off a very impressive 87-69 victory over the University of Washington. As he has done throughout the season, Andre Roberson controlled the paint in the win, scoring eight points and grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds. Carlon Brown delivered an efficient performance on the offensive end, netting 18 points on 7/11 shooting from the field.
Washington St. enters this game on the heels of a disappointing 62-60 loss at Utah. While the Cougars have been inconsistent much of the season, Brock Motum provides a consistent post presence. Motum is averaging a team-high 15.7 ppg and a team-high 6.5 rpg.
