The Colorado Buffaloes picked up another recruit on Tuesday, Christian Powell of Upland High School in California. Powell had been committed to the UCLA Bruins for a little over two weeks, but on Monday night he decided to change directions and provide a verbal commitment to the Buffs.
Powell is a 5-foot-11, 250-pound fullback who is rated a three-star prospect by the Rivals. Other schools that he visited 9and received offers from) included the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Texas A&M Aggies and the Washington Huskies. Arkansas State and San Jose State had made offers, but he did not visit those schools.
As Jon Woods points out over at Ralphie Report, Powell is teammates with fellow Buffs recruits Donta Abron and Marques Mosley at Upland.
