Colorado Vs. USC Preview: Buffaloes Push For 3-Game Winning Streak

The Colorado Buffaloes will be looking to avoid a letdown on the road against the lowly USC Trojans.

The Colorado Buffaloes (13-6, 5-2) are riding high in the Pac-12 and sitting just a half game out of first place. In contrast, their opponent and host on Thursday night, the USC Trojans (5-15, 0-7), are the only team without a conference win and in sole possession of last place.

USC has lost eight straight games, and Colorado will look to Andre Roberson and Carlon Brown to protect against a letdown against the weak team on the road. Roberson is coming off his worst game of the season against the Arizona Wildcats, as he struggled offensively and finished with zero points on 0-8 shooting to go with just seven rebounds. Look for him to assert himself early and try to make a difference in the paint. Brown is alternated good and bad offense of performances over the last five games, but hopefully you can find some consistency and string together his second strong performance in a row.

The Trojans are led by Maurice Jones, but he scores his team-leading 14.6 points per game on just 34.8 percent shoooting. Their best offensive performer right now might be Dewayne Dedmon, who shoots 57.0 percent but scores just 7.9 points per contest.
