The Colorado Buffaloes rode a strong first half to a 69-51 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils on Thursday night. The win ends a two-game losing skid for Colorado, which moves to 4-2 against Pac-12 opponents and 12-6 overall.
Colorado took a big lead early and went into halftime up 31-15. The great defense didn't quite continue in the second half, but the Buffaloes upped their scoring as well to keep pace with the Sun Devils and hold onto their advantage. The Buffaloes led by as many as 25 points in the second half, and finished the game shooting 49 percent from the field. The Sun Devils came in at 42 percent on the night.
It was a balanced scoring attack for Colorado, as Andre Roberson and Spencer Dinwiddie scored 12 points apiece while Austin Dufault and Askia Booker scored 11 points apiece. Chris Colvin led Arizona State with 15 points. Carrick Felix added 13 points and Jonathan Gilling and 12 points for the Sun Devils, who drop to 6-12 on the season.
