Colorado Vs. California Final Score: Buffaloes Lose 57-50 After Poor Second Half

The Colorado Buffaloes took a solid lead into halftime but couldn't hold on in a 57-50 defeat against the California Golden Bears on Thursday night. Colorado led 29-22 going into halftime, but quickly blew the lead in a second half that saw numerous lead changes.

Austin Default led the Buffaloes in scoring with 19 points, but made just 5 of 13 shots from the field. He especially struggled on two-pointers, going 2-for-9 inside the arc. Andre Roberson added a double-double for Colorado, putting up 11 points and 14 rebounds.

California had a pretty balanced offensive attack, with Harper Kemp's 14 points leading the way. Most of the Golden Bears' starters really struggled, though, with Jorge Gutierrez's 2-for-17 shooting from the field being the most obvious reflection of that.

Colorado was outscored 34-21 in the disappointing second half against California. It's the first loss against a Pac-12 opponent for the Buffaloes this season, who drop to 3-1 in conference and 11-5 overall on the season, and it snaps a six-game winning streak. California moves to 14-4 this season, including a 4-1 record against Pac-12 opponents.
