Pac-12 Football Results, Week 2: Oregon, Washington State Destroy Nevada, UNLV; Andrew Luck Throws Four TDs

The Colorado Buffaloes (0-2) and the California Golden Bears (2-0), both Pac-12 teams, played a non-conference game on Saturday since it was scheduled before the Buffs made the move to the Pac-12. The Bears likely wish it did count as a conference win since they pulled off the 36-33 overtime win. However, there was plenty of excitement to be found in other contests.

The Oregon Ducks and the Washington State Cougars enjoyed blowout victories, and Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck continued his dominance on the gridiron. Here's a breakdown of Saturday's action:

No. 8 Wisconsin Badgers (2-0) def. Oregon St. Beavers (0-2), 35-0 - Badgers quarterback Russell Wilson threw for three touchdown passes and likely isn't thinking much about his baseball past with the Rockies. The Beavers, on the other hand, are hoping there's team out there that they can beat.

No. 6 Stanford Cardinal (2-0) def. Duke Blue Devils (0-2), 44-14 - Cardinal quarterback Andrew Luck found the end zone for four touchdown passes and finished with 290 yards in the air. Heisman candidacy in go-mode.

Washington Huskies (2-0) def. Hawaii Warriors (1-1), 40-32 - One week after needing a last-second interception to seal the deal, the Huskies poured the points on early against the Warriors and won by eight points. Sophomore quarterback Keith Price threw for 315 yards and four touchdowns.

No. 13 Oregon Ducks (1-1) def. Nevada Wolf Pack (0-1), 69-20 - It was a quick rebound for the Ducks following their 4-27 loss to LSU last week. Quarterback Darron Thomas threw for six touchdowns. The Ducks scored 10 touchdowns, but failed on the two-point conversion after the first touchdown.

Washington St. Cougars (2-0) def. UNLV Rebels (0-2), 59-7 - With quarterback Jeff Tuel out, Marshall Lobbestael stepped right in and threw for 361 yards and five touchdowns. UNLV suffered its second straight blowout loss as they went down to Wisconsin, Oregon State's opponent, last week.

USC Trojans (2-0) def. Utah Utes (1-1), 23-14 - This game can be cast in two different stories. The first is that Utah failed to get its first conference win in the Pac-12. The second is that the Trojans barely escaped with another win, taking the victory this week by nine points. They defeated Minnesota by two to open the season. Utah attempted a game-tying field goal, had it blocked and saw it returned for a touchdown. However, the points were taken off the board since the Trojans ran onto the field with time remaining on the clock, but then the Pac-12 officials changed the call and allowed the touchdown to count.

UCLA Bruins (1-1) defeat San Jose St. Spartans (0-2), 27-17 - After a back-and-forth game, San Jose State and UCLA were tied going into the fourth quarter but UCLA was able to pull away by scoring 10 fourth quarter points for the win. Running back Derrick Coleman sealed the win on a 24-yard touchdown run with just over three minutes left. Coleman was the spark UCLA needed and he rushed for 135 yards, all of which came in the second half.
