On Monday, Texas quarterback Connor Wood reportedly visited the Colorado campus for a possible transfer to the Buffaloes. It was an unofficial visit since Texas has yet to release Wood from his scholarship. However, a move to Boulder isn't a given for Wood. Do the Buffs need another quarterback in an already crowded field for the 2012 derby?
According to Kyle Ringo of the Daily Camera, the Buffs' staff is currently considering that question. The staff is considering two things with Wood: does he fit in with the Buffs and Boulder and will this affect the verbal commitment they received from Shane Dillon. Dillon is a Rivals four-star recruit for this year's class and, according to Ringo's CU source, the future at quarterback for the Buffs.
Wood was a four-star recruit in 2010 and is entering his redshirt freshman year. Wood needs to make a decision before he loses even more eligibility.
