2011 Big 12 Tournament: Oklahoma St. Edges Nebraska, 53-52

The Nebraska Cornhuskers would have liked a fonder farewell to their time in the Big 12 following today's opening round loss to the Oklahoma St. Cowboys, 53-52. The Huskers also lost their regular season finale to the Colorado Buffaloes.

The Cowboys led for the entire first half of the game, but started to lose the lead midway through the second half. Down 48-44 with 4:50 Keiton Page hit back-to-back threes to put the Cowboys back in the lead, 50-48. Eventually taking a 53-52 lead, State's Nick Sidorakis stole the ball with two seconds left to give the Cowboys the victory.

Paige had a team-high 16 points, while Matt Pilgrim was around the board all afternoon long for 12 rebounds. For Nebraska, Lance Jeter scored 17 points, grabbed four boards, dished the ball out for four assists, stole the ball twice and blocked one shot. Toney McCray and Brandon Ubel each added 11 points and six rebounds in the loss.

The Cowboys will face the Kansas Jayhawks, the conference's No. 1 seed, on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. MT. ESPN 2 will televise the game.
