NCAA Bracketology: Colorado, Colorado St. Among First Four Out In NCAA Tournament, But Look Good For NIT

While the Colorado Buffaloes and the Colorado St. Rams are among the first four teams out in the latest edition of SB Nation's NCAA Bracketology, both teams are solidly in place for bids to the NIT.

According to The NIT Bracket Project's current projections, the Rams are a No. 1 seed and the Buffs are a No. 3 seed. The Southern Miss. Golden Eagles, the Washington St. Cougars and the Wichita St. Shockers are the remaining No. 1 seeds. Conceivably, at least under this current scenario, the Rams and the Buffs could face each other in the championship game. The final four matchups are Southern Miss bracket vs. CSU bracket and Washington St. bracket vs. Wichita St. bracket.

The Buffs play their final regular season game in the Big 12 in a game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Buffs head to the Pac-12 and the Cornhuskers head to the Big 10. The Rams close out their regular season with a road game against the San Diego St. Aztecs. Unless either team makes a run at their respective conference tournaments, the NIT it is.

The NIT starts on March 15 and ends on March 31 in Madison Square Garden.
