NIT Selection Show: Colorado State All Over Bracket Projections

While most of today's attention will be on the 2011 NCAA Tournament, many teams will wait for their NIT selection. The Colorado St. Rams are one such team. The Rams exited the Mountain West Conference tournament with a loss to the New Mexico Lobos and had lost four of their last five regular season games. They had been a team on the bubble, but that last stretch of the season spelled an NIT spot rather than a field of 68 selection.

The NIT Bracket Project still has the Rams as a No. 2 seed in their matrix. St. Mary's (CA), Boston College, UAB and USC are the four No. 1 seeds currently. NIT-ology, however, takes a different view on the Rams, making them a No. 4 seed. And they project only one No. 1 seed the same. Boston College seemingly appears a lock to be a No. 1, but Alabama, Georgia and Missouri St. are the different ones.NIT-ology does have a later update time than the NIT Bracket Project, which is why Alabama is not even in their field. The Crimson Tide will be a tough call for the NCAA Tournament selection committee.

The NIT selection show airs at 7:00 p.m. MT on ESPNU.
