Colorado Buffaloes Defeat Texas Tech, 71-68, For First Victory In Lubbock Since 2001

The Colorado Buffaloes kept their bubble hopes alive by defeating the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 71-68, on Tuesday night. It was the Buffs' first victory in Lubbock, since 2001. At halftime, the Buffs had a 33-21 lead, but the Raiders battled back in the second half. Losing 32-42 at 16:27 in the second half, the Raiders eventually rallied back to lead during the middle portion of the period. D'Walyn Roberts gave the Raiders a 63-62 lead with 4:11 left in the game, but the Buffs kept the pressure on and emerged with the win.

Levi Knutson led the Buffs with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting, while Andre Roberson added seven points and a team-high nine rebounds. He made three steals as well. The duo of Alec Burks and Cory Higgins combined for 26 points, 11 rebounds, five rebounds and two steals. Marcus Relphorde finished the night with 15 points and six rebounds.

For Texas Tech, John Roberson had team-highs with 18 points and seven assists. Mike Singletary added 17 points and six rebounds.

The Colorado Buffaloes (17-11, 6-7 Big 12) face the No. 5 Texas Longhorns on Saturday in their quest to partake in March Madness.
