NCAA Basketball RPI Rankings: San Diego State Moves To No. 2 Behind Kansas

While the Duke Blue Devils are No. 1 in the polls this week, they aren't the top team in the latest RPI standings. Duke remained at No. 6. The Kansas Jayhawks stayed at the top, despite a 1-1 record last week. The San Diego St. Aztecs moved from No. 3 to No. 2 over their conference rival, the BYU Cougars.

Other than San Diego St. and BYU flipping spot, the top six teams remained the same with the Ohio St. Buckeyes and the Georgetown Hoyas taking spots 4-5. Purdue, who beat Ohio St. on Sunday, and Pitt, who lost to St. John's, flipped spots for No. 7 and No. 9. The Red Storm moved up four spots from No. 16 to No. 12 following that upset over the weekend. Utah St. continues its climb up the RPI rankings, moving five spots to No. 19.

In local RPI rankings, the Colorado St. Rams dropped from No. 39 to No. 47. The Colorado Buffaloes dropped three spots to No. 93 and were immediately followed by the Air Force Falcons.
