Chauncey Billups Not An Option For Denver Nuggets, According To Report

Chauncey Billups spent a portion of the 2010-11 NBA season with the Denver Nuggets before being traded to New York in the Carmelo Anthony deal, and he's now a free agent after the Knicks used their amnesty clause on him. But it appears that the odds of a return to Denver for Billups are slim. According to the Denver Post's Benjamin Hochman:

source said that there isn't a possibility right now that Billups will sign with Denver, his hometown team
According to Billups' agent, the point guard may consider retirement if he can't find a deal with a contender, and if Billups does not think the Nuggets are going to be in a position to contend in the Western Conference, he may be reluctant to return to Denver.

Billups averaged 16.5 points and 5.3 assists in 51 games with the Nuggets last season.
