Pioneers Vs. Trojans Recap: Denver Falls To 1-1 In Sun Belt, Losing 66-59 To Arkansas-Little Rock

The Denver Pioneers (11-3, 1-1) dropped their second Sun Belt Conference game of the 2011-2012 NCAA basketball season, falling to the Ark.-Little Rock Trojans (5-10, 2-0) 66-59.

The Pioneers, who had won five-straight games entering Saturday night's game, could not muster enough second half points to finish their comeback, allowing the Trojans to remain undefeated in the Sun Belt Conference. In the first half, the Pioneers could not control the Trojans' offensive attack, allowing Ark.-Little Rock to take a 34-27 lead at the half.

Despite scoring 32 points in the second, the Pioneers could not erase their seven point deficit, falling 66-59. Denver was led by strong performances from F Rob Lewis (6 pts, 2 ast, and 7 reb) and F Chris Udofia (12 pts, 2 ast, and 4 reb), but the team mustered only a 23.8% three-point field goal percentage on their 21 shots from the outside.

Meanwhile, the Tojans offense had four players scoring in double digits, F Will Neighbour (17 pts), G Ben Dillard (13 pts), G D'Andre Williams (11 pts), and Chuck Guy (10 pts).
