Colorado Lands Defensive End Samson Kafovalu

The Colorado Buffaloes 2012 recruiting class has picked up the pace and their latest edition is getting a verbal commit from defensive end Samson Kafovalu (Riverside, Calif.). Kafovalu is the fourth defensive end to commit to Colorado. Kafovalu chose Colorado over offers he had from Arizona, Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada, UCLA, Utah, Washington, Washington State.

Kafovalu is rated as a three-star among the recruiting services and his value for Colorado comes at being a versatile player:

"Kafovalu, a 6-foot-3, 253-pounder, played every position on the defensive line as a senior. He constantly took on double and triple teams, allowing Arlington's linebackers to make plays."

"Coach 'Tui' at Colorado is a good guy. I told him it doesn't matter to me where I play on the defensive line. He did say I would probably play the three-technique," Kafovalu said. "I am a hard working guy. I am going to go out there and do what I got to do."
