College Basketball National Signing Day: Colorado Basketball To Announce Strong Recruiting Class

The Colorado Buffaloes are expected to announce the official signing of two top-100 recruits on Wednesday

Wednesday, Nov. 9, marks the start of the early signing period for college basketball and the Colorado Buffaloes are expected to announce a strong 2012 recruiting class. Head coach Tad Boyle should have two top-100 recruits in center Josh Scott and forward Xavier Johnson. Johnson verbally committed back in early October along with three-star forward Chris Jenkins. Wesley Gordon is also a commit to the program.

On Wednesday, Sterling, CO, point guard Xavier Talton signed his letter of intent and faxed it to the University of Colorado, reports Rivals' Adam Munsterteiger. The Buffs lost point guard Alec Burks two years early to the NBA Draft in 2011 and will need help there with Shannon Sharpe the starter this season. ESPN Insider calls Talton a "sleeper" who can score, rebound and play solid defense. He's still learning the position, but he should be able to play at a good level in college.

Check back for more on Wednesday when these signing will be announced officially.
