If Colorado does indeed fall short vs. USC tonight, it won't be QB Tyler Hansen's fault. Hansen threw a touchdown pass to WR Toney Clemons with 11:19 left in the game to bring CU to within three scores. Colorado has faltered in red zone all night, but on third down Hansen threw a beautiful fade pass down the far sideline to Clemons, who caught the ball in the end zone with just enough room to spare.
It's the second touchdown tonight for both Hansen and Clemons, the latter of which is overshadowing the return of star Buffs receiver Paul Richardson. Their first hook up of the night, a 37-yard pass, opened the scoring and gave the Buffaloes a brief lead over the Trojans. It's safe to say that if Colorado is going to stage a miracle comeback tonight, Hansen and Clemons might have to get the ball into the end zone a few more times.
