Andre Roberson's 15 points and 15 rebounds helped fuel a 70-68 win for Colorado (4-2) over Georgia at the Coors Event Center on Monday. Buffaloes guard Spencer Dinwiddie led all scorers with 16 points and also added seven rebounds for Colorado in the win.
The Buffs got another typically strong bench effort from guard Askia Booker. Booker hit the game-icing free throw in a 14 point performance that included four rebounds and three assists. Starter Nate Tomlinson hit a crucial three-pointer late and finished with seven points for Colorado.
Georgia (4-3) was led by freshman Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who scored a team-high 15 points on 6-of-17 shooting that include a 3-of-10 effort from three-point range. Gerald Robinson added 14 points and Donte Williams added 11 points and six rebounds for Georgia in the loss.
The big disparity in the game came at the free throw line. Colorado went to the line 37 times, connecting on 22 attempts. Georgia shot just 11 free throws, making six.
