Colorado Vs. Utah Final Score: Buffs Snap Road Losing Streak With 17-14 Victory Over Utes

The Colorado Buffaloes hadn't won a road game since Oct. 27, 2007 when they defeated the Texas Tech Red Raiders, some 24 games ago. But that all ended on Friday afternoon with a 17-14 victory over the Utah Utes. Utah kicker Coleman Petersen missed a 48-yard field goal to tie the game with just seconds left on the clock. It was his third miss of the game.

Until the second half of the game, the Buffaloes were the dominant team that just couldn't find the endzone. But over the first three drives of the second half, the Buffs were able to wedge a touchdown in between two Utah scores to maintain the lead.

Before the Petersen missed the field goal, the Utes had started the drive after Darragh O'Neill hit an 18-yard punt from the Utah 47-yard line. The Buffs defense held strong and forced the field goal attempt that failed.

For the Colorado Buffaloes, they finish the season on a one-game winning streak and the seniors have their first-ever road win. For Utah, the loss ends their regular season and gives the UCLA Bruins the Pac-12 South title.
