The Colorado Buffaloes have dominated the Utah Utes for the first half of their Friday showdown in the "Rumble in the Rockies," but at halftime the Buffs lead, 10-0. But that close score isn't something Utah wants since a loss ensures that they can't win the Pac-12 South.
Tyler Hansen led the Buffs on a 12-play, 80-yard scoring drive to start the game when he found the endzone on a one-yard run. But after that, scoring was hard to come by. Will Oliver did kick a 23-yard field goal midway through the second quarter. In the first quarter, the Buffs wasted a 29-yard Tyler Hansen pass when Toney Clemons fumbled the ball into Utah's endzone, providing the Utes with possession.
But Utah has struggled offensively throughout the first half. With roughly three minutes left in the half, the Utes finally picked up a first down. They have 39 total yards compared to Colorado's 254. Will things balance out in the second half to make this a very tight finish?
